Piqua, Ohio (February 17, 2010) - French Oil Mill Machinery Company recently
appointed Taylor "Tayte" French Lutz as Marketing Coordinator. Lutz is responsible
for market analysis, brand management, and all marketing campaigns. She is the
fourth generation of the French family to be employed by FOMMCO.
Lutz comes to the company with eight years of experience in marketing, business
analysis, sales, and buying in the fashion industry, having worked for both Donna
Karan International and Bloomingdale's. She worked at French Oil for several summers,
while in school. Lutz graduated from the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane
University in New Orleans, LA, with a Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) in
Marketing. She also studied Marketing in the European Union at the MBA Institute in
Paris, France.
Founded on May 25, 1900, French Oil has remained under family ownership and management
throughout our 110-year history. Daniel P. French, Lutz's father, Chairman of the
Board and President, is only the fourth President. His grandfather, Alfred Willard
French, who founded the company, then his grandmother, Grace Albers French, and lastly,
his father, Alfred Willard French, Jr, preceded him. Dan's son, Peter L. French, serves
on the Board of Directors. Of all the US companies founded in 1900, less than 2% have
survived and are still owned by descendants of the founding family.
Daniel French noted, "I am extremely happy to welcome the fourth generation of the
French family as a fellow employee. Tayte's arrival signals potential long term
continuity for our customers and employees, and her keen marketing skills will
contribute to the company's continued growth and world-wide development".
Lutz added, "French Oil, long known as a global leader for its continual innovation,
quality design, and manufacturing, has always been an important part of my life. I
am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the company professionally, and to continue
our family's history."
French Oil designs and manufactures equipment for the preparation and extraction
of vegetable oils, such as soybeans, cottonseed, canola, etc., for food and
industrial uses, including bio-diesel and other fuels. The company also offers
a wide assortment of hydraulic presses, for molding and shaping rubber and composite
materials. Additionally, French has a broad range of mechanical dewatering and
drying presses for the synthetic rubber industry. Most components are manufactured
in our 225,000 sq ft plant in Piqua, Ohio. The company is certified to the new ISO
9001:2008 standard, and has customers in more than 80 countries.
