• Heavy duty self-aligning spherical roller bearings assembled in rigid sliding blocks mounted on a one-piece vibration dampening case iron base (eliminates frame joints)
• Pair of centrifugally cast dual metal rolls. Rolls are precision ground and are dynamically balanced to eliminate vibration and extend bearing life.
• Set polyester fiberglass meal guards, spring loaded against chamfer on edge of rolls to prevent short-circuiting of material over ends of rolls.
• Set scrapers with externally mounted weights which are adjustable to adjust the pressure of the scrapers against the rolls. Scraper blades can be replaced by rotating the scraper assemblies for access from the front and rear opening in the housing.
• Roll pressure adjustment system for independent adjustment of each end of the adjustable roll. System includes:
• (2) Parker cylinders with rectangular head mounts
• (2) Reducing relief valves with safety-pressure setting for roll 'back-off'.
• Hydraulic system is compatible with food grade oil
• Fabricated housing with tapered trough in lower section to direct flakes to the flake discharge conveyor. Housing can be installed for both rolls to be removed from either the front, or the rear of the mill.
• Mill available with automatic air cleaning system to help keep inside of mill free of dust build-up. The length of air bursts, and the number of air bursts can be adjusted as required to clean inside of mill. System includes:
• Shut-off ball valve
• Pressure regulating valve
• External control stand for mounting pressure regulating valve near the mill
• Solenoid valve
• (2) Header blocks with 8 ports in each to allow up to 16 air lines.
• (16) Windjet air nozzles
• All necessary fittings, tubing, nipples, tees, elbows, connectors, clamps, nuts, screws, and washers to install system.
• Main drive with V-belt or HTD sheaves and belts
• V-belt differential belt drive with fixed and adjustable sheaves with locking bushings, including:
• Spherical roller bearings
• Adjustable take-up frames with bearing pillow blocks on adjustable sheave.
• Mill can be provided with a roll speed differential from 3-11%
• Set of OSHA compliant belt guards.
• Available with either roll-type feeder or vibratory-type feeder
• Hydraulic pumping unit.
• Pumping unit can provide hydraulic roll pressure for up to five flaking mills
• Hydraulic control stand with external roll pressure adjustment and manual control of roll pressure
